Privacy Policy

MyCoverDog ("Modern Mutt") ("we", "us") makes personalized, magazine-style keepsake covers of your dog from a photo and a few details you provide. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices — in plain language.

What we collect

• What you give us to make a cover: the photo you upload, and the details you enter — your dog's name, breed, and the style you pick.
• The cover we generate from those (a watermarked preview and a high-resolution file).
• Order information when you buy: your email address. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never receive or store your card number. Everything we sell is a digital download, so we don't ask for a shipping address.
• Basic technical data (e.g., server logs) needed to run and secure the service.
• Analytics and advertising data. We use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel to understand how people find and use the site and to measure our ads. These set cookies and record things like the pages you visit, your approximate location from your IP address, and your browser type. If you buy, we also send Meta a one-way encrypted (hashed) version of your email address so it can match the sale to an ad — Meta does not receive your email in readable form.

How we use it

• To generate and deliver your cover.
• To process your order and email you about it (order confirmation and your download link).
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We never use your photos for advertising, and we don't use them to train AI models. Your photo is never sent to our analytics or advertising providers. Our advertising measurement covers site activity and purchases only — see "Analytics and advertising" above.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run Modern Mutt, each under their own privacy terms:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Google Cloud / Firebase — hosting and storage.
• Resend — sending order emails.
• Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook) — site analytics and ad measurement, as described above.

You can opt out of this measurement with your browser's tracking protection, an ad blocker, or Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. Opting out does not affect making, buying, or downloading a cover.

How long we keep it

If you don't purchase, we automatically delete your cover — including the photo — about 30 days after it's created. If you buy a cover, we keep it until you ask us to delete it (just email us below), so you can come back and re-download it. We retain payment records for as long as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us to access or delete your information at any time by emailing support@mycoverdog.com.

Children's privacy

Modern Mutt is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. The high-resolution, watermark-free file is access-controlled and is not public — it's available only after purchase.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the "last updated" date above.
